A new trophy by Lord Norman Foster

We are thrilled to announce that the award-winning architect Lord Norman Foster has designed an all-new Best in Show trophy exclusively for The Richard Mille I.C.E. St. Moritz 2025 - Classic Car CONCOURS d'ELEGANCE -

His design evokes the sub-zero elegance of the event and the magical alpine winter landscape of the Engadine.
Made from silver, and encased in a bespoke wooden box also designed by Lord Foster, the sculpture will be awarded to the winner of this year's

Lord Foster of Thames Bank is one of the most influential architects of our time and was awarded the Pritzker Prize in 1999. Foster + Partners, the practice which he founded over sixty years ago and were he remains Executive Chairman, have designed projects across six continents – among them Apple's ring-shaped headquarters in Cupertino, California and the glass dome on the Reichstag building in Berlin.

Lord Foster has, for many decades, enjoyed a special relationship with St. Moritz. His family home is the visually stunning and environmentally sensitive Chesa Futura, fusing centuries-old alpine construction techniques with state-of-the-art computer design.

Lord Foster's love of the automobile dates back to his childhood and the evolution of car design has been an enduring influence throughout his career. This relationship was most recently celebrated when, with his team at the Norman Foster Foundation, he curated and designed the exhibition "Motion. Autos, Art, Architecture" at Guggenheim Bilbao in 2022.

Lord Foster joined our concours jury last year and, twelve months on, it is a great honour and delight to receive this bespoke work of art by one of the most visionary and representative architects in the world. Both The I.C.E. and the town of St. Moritz could not have asked for a more special gift.
At Lord Foster's request, the trophy will be realised by local manufacturer Koenig – a further celebration of the designer's close connection to St. Moritz.
